Neighborhood Focus: Eagle Crest

There’s so much to love about the Space Coast that sometimes, I feel genuinely sorry for people who don’t live here. Besides the Kennedy Space Center, it is home to some of the prettiest beaches and best surfing in the country. If you live for natural wonders, it’s practically unbeatable.

While the space center makes a great day trip for folks in other parts of Florida, I feel that you can’t quite capture the magic of the area until you decide to live here. And as a local realtor, I’m always exploring Space Coast neighborhoods to find the best locations to put down roots.

One such neighborhood that I love is called Eagle Crest, designed by Landsea Homes. Each property boasts up to one acre of land, with plenty of trees and lakes around the community.

In the heart of the neighborhood lies an eagle nest conservation area, celebrating the native wildlife in Florida. (Fun fact: bald eagles, golden eagles, white-tailed eagles, and Steller’s sea eagles can all be spotted in our state!) Hugging trees is nice and everything, but if we really want to have a positive impact on our ecosystem, I think this is the way to do it.

Eagle Crest is a new construction community, which means buyers can fully design their homes, including some interior structural selections and a full design appointment. So, if you want control over paint colors and such, this is a great option! And no matter what you choose for add-ons, energy-efficient, smart home technology is always integrated.

Now, you’d think that all these cool features would mean hefty HOA fees—but you’d be wrong. It costs just $106 per month to be part of the Eagle Crest community (a steal, if you ask me). Plus, utilities include both city water and septic.

One last pro tip: the Brentwood Executive floorplan offers a spacious layout with an additional two-story option, boasting five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a three-car garage. These houses turn out gorgeously, and they’re perfect for big families!

I would never discourage people from visiting the Space Coast, but if you want the full experience, there’s no substitute for calling this place home. Even if you’re not enchanted by the idea of an eagle nest conservation area, if Florida is calling, we have the perfect place for you.
